Camp Peaceprints 2012
"Peace with the Earth, Peace on the Earth"

St. Margaret School
Monday through Friday July 16 - 27, 2012
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Announcing the fifth annual Camp Peaceprints, brought to you by the SSJ Sister Karen Klimczak Center for Nonviolence, the Interfaith Peace Network of Western New York and the Western New York Peace Center. Camp Peaceprints is a summer camp designed to introduce youth ages 8 to 13 to social justice, while providing them with peaceful conflict resolution skills and exposure to a diverse community. We work on building skills for cooperation, communication, dealing with feelings, and problem-solving. We gain knowledge about issues primarily through guest presenters from the progressive community who are deeply involved and passionate about their work. We play games, have recreation, do art projects, read and learn about peace and justice, create a show, enjoy a family pot-luck, and go on field trips. Youth assistants and adult volunteers are an integral part of the program.
